carvelo was created as part of the Swiss cargo bike initiative of the TCS Mobility Academy and the development fund “Engagement Migros”.
From 2013 to 2019, the initiative pursued the goal of promoting the use of cargo bikes in Switzerland in both business and private contexts. Various projects were realised as part of this initiative, including the eCargobike-Sharing platform “carvelo”.
The cargo bike initiative has completed its activities in 2019, while the successful offer carvelo is continued.
Since 2020, the programme has been run jointly by TCS and its Mobility Academy.
